INSTITUTIONAL INFO
This meeting intends to bring together physicists and mathematicians working on the physical and mathematical aspects of classical solutions of supergravity/superstring theories, specially on the supersymmetric ones (compactification backgrounds, brane solutions, black-hole solutions, plane-wave solutions etc. etc.). Supergravity/superstring theories involve many interesting structures in differential and algebraic geometry, such as algebraic varieties, complex manifolds of special type, symmetric spaces, exceptional Lie groups, spinorial geometry… Their use is crucial in the search, construction and understanding of classical solutions.
There will be only 2 hours of seminars every day, leaving the rest of the time for discussions.
